My Story

My story starts when I was getting divorced. A good friend was studying Vedic astrology and offered me a chart reading. As I was waiting to find out what would happen in the romance area of my life, I said okay. Well to my surprise he gave me lots of information on all sorts of different occupations; as a sheep farmer, crop growing and even mining! But nothing about where my relationship life was headed.

However one comment he made stuck in my mind; “I would be suited for anything to do with healing.” At the time I didn’t have a clue as to what that could mean; let alone how to find out about it. He had said my purpose was to give service; and my work was with people. So I let go of it at the time as I didn’t really understand what it could be! I had mainly been farming for the past 10 years.

About 3 months later another friend had seen an ad in the paper for a Shiatsu course (Japanese massage) and asked me if I want to come and do it with him. That’s when I remembered what I was told with the reading; so I thought, okay why not? Let’s go and do it! I’ll try that out, even though it was quite different to anything I had ever thought of doing.

Well I liked it so much I took to it with a passion, practising it on all my friends. Before long I was giving 2 massages every evening to the people I knew because I wanted to be really good at it! They commented about how well they felt from it and how relaxing it was; as they liked receiving shiatsu from me.

So that’s how I started with doing my service; of giving healing by massaging people. I went on to practice it for the next two years as I also studied in Brisbane to gain a diploma of Chinese massage; while half completing an Acupuncture degree. I found it very hard and dropped out as I was also distracted by what became my next relationship of four years, (where I let go of practising my massage and healing.)

After this relationship failed I came back to the personal growth issues that I needed to deal with from these two break ups. I began and have continued to learn and grow from them; by practising my self development ever since.

By sharing with a housemate I found out what I recognised was something I knew nothing about; but felt drawn to plunging and learn. This was Hawaiian Temple body work; a style of massage I had never received that I felt intrigued to learn. Because of what the ancient Kahunas taught and the healing processes they practised. They were considered as powerful Shamans and I felt challenged by the way my life could be changed! But also inspired to continue the journey that I was already on.

The Training Retreat was very deep and I experienced the most profound shift of my life from it! By my willingness to participate fully I received the transformation I was seeking, right to the core of my heart. So much so, that I realised this was my second calling! Which is why I have continued to practice “Aloha Massage” for the past 21 years, since 1997. This is the reason I did 3 more training retreats within a short time after the first one.

By having embodied this healing practice so fully that most of my clients tell me; “That was the best massage I’ve had in my life!” and by following my intuition, what I have been drawn to, & the messages I’ve received, (as if from a higher power – that I call ‘Spirit’); I’ve changed the direction of my life.

This is why I encourage you to follow your path; “Whatever it is and Wherever it may take you”; – to gain meaning and find your purpose in life.

Why learn Aloha Massage

The problem is how to give a great massage easily.  Many people don’t get good massages and that has an effect on the benefits of having one.  Having worked at many massage places for over 20 years I have seen poor massage work. (Also the difference and effect from Aloha massage). You don’t receive the release of pain and soreness in the body, mind or soul; and in turn this affects your work and relationships in such a way that it creates stress. Instead of the vitality and rejuvenation you are having a massage for.

Learning how to give massages effectively and with confidence is really valued by the people that receive them. They can “feel” your expertise from the first moment until the very end.  They also get the benefit of relaxation and any healing they are seeking too.

The best thing is that as an “Aloha” practitioner you are never bored, and your hands or body don’t get burnt out. You are connected with your client and no how to help them create wholeness, relaxation and deep healing for themselves. Also for yourself!

My key point is training people how to be more than good at massage, but better than they ever dreamed of being, more easily than they can ever imagine. From my knowledge from my experience of Aloha massage, including Lomi Lomi, Hawaiian Temple Bodywork and Kahuna Massage, I have learnt how to teach and deliver it so my students do become the best they can be in giving “Aloha” massage.

All the time I receive personal feedback from my clients telling me it’s the best massage they’ve had in their life! So how I teach my students is exactly the way I work, so they get the source of “Aloha” from me. This brings out their own hidden and unknown abilities. This takes them to the highest level so they can excel at being practitioners.

I am making a change in the world and “Spirit” told me to do this by the messages I received.  It’s what I’m meant to do and why this is my purpose. By training people how to give “Aloha” massage, it is really creating a difference in the world.  Impacting everyone with the deep healing that is possible to shift their consciousness into the “Light”.

I want “Aloha” massage practitioners to have the training experience and expertise that makes them well sought after everywhere they go. For them to have passion and fully enjoy delivering treatments and massages their clients love and continue returning for. Fulfilling their own purpose while being paid well for it.
